About Rebecca
Hello! I’m Rebecca, a content creator, recipe developer, and food stylist with over 20 years experience. I began my career in advertising and public relations, working with consumer food and housewares brands by day while experimenting in the kitchen and planning elaborate dinner parties by night. With encouragement from my talented photographer husband, I took the leap and enrolled in culinary school at Kendall College, Chicago, IL, and received a degree in culinary arts.
Following graduation, many of my former PR colleagues and clients sought me out for recipe development, food photography and social content, propelling me into my second career as a culinary consultant, professional recipe developer and food stylist.
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to develop recipes and shoot photography for numerous household food brands as well as smaller, artisan companies. I’ve styled food for celebrity chefs, well-known bloggers and live television segments, contributed recipes to cookbooks and had my work featured in multiple editorial publications. My greatest joy continues to be cooking for and with my family and friends in 100 year old farmhouse in rural Southwest Michigan.

About Homemaker’s Habitat
They say home is where the heart is. When I launched Homemaker’s Habitat in 2008, it was truly a labor of love. I was working full-time at a renowned PR firm, recently engaged and absolutely obsessed with becoming a gourmet cook and entertaining expert. Fast forward 20+ years and my life looks a whole lot different but my passion for food, family and entertaining has never wavered. Homemaker’s Habitat remains the story of my life, lived through my family, my heart and my tummy.
